A description of A Soldier’s Christmas

Home For Christmas

After a year’s deployment, soldier Josh Marquette is back in the US. His first assignment state side–best man in a Christmas wedding. More importantly, he’s going to get his dog who was fostered while he was gone.

Goodbyes come too soon

Cassie Smith fostered a serviceman’s dog for a year while he was overseas. She should have thought that through. Now he’s back for his dog–only she hadn’t expected to fall in love with the big German Shepard, nor her owner.

Holiday hope

When Josh agrees to stay beyond the wedding and spend Christmas with Cassie, she begins to hope their friendship will blossom into something more. After all, Christmas is the time of hope–and love.

My review of A Soldier’s Christmas

What a sweet love story! I literally did not put this down until I finfished reading it.

Cassie took care of Josh’s dog while he was deployed. They had weekly skype chats during that time and became very close. When Josh returned home the two weren’t quite sure what their relationship truly was. Friends? Acquaintenances?

They decided to spend as  much time together as they can so Josh canbecome reaquainted with his dog and for Cassie to spend a little more time with the dog she had come to love.

Is is a short book, about 67 pages. Enough to help you get to know the characters, but not enough to be in deep with them.

I liked the story. Pick up a copy and give it a try.
