Description of Mine: A Kate Hamilton Mystery
Not safe at home in Boston, Kate Hamilton seeks refuge in the small Virginia town where she was born and raised. Scarborough is no longer the bucolic village that she remembered. Pleasantries are only skin deep as big city issues and the politics of the world roil just under the surface. A string of untimely deaths has the whole town grieving. Only Kate thinks something nefarious is afoot. Can she convince the local police that coincidences like these are only found in fiction? Kate is determined to solve the puzzle and save lives, especially her own.
My review of Mine: A Kate Hamilton Mystery
A very face paced story. I could not put this book down.
Kate returns to her small hometown to lick her wounds. Her husband has PTSD and it is not safe for her to live with him. She intends to stay with her aunt and uncle, but arrives in time for her uncle’s funeral. It appears he has suffered a heart attack.
Kate is a school teacher. She is going to be a CSI intern in Scarborough for the summer. Nothing ever happens in this town so it should be slow paced summer.
No sooner has Kate attended her uncle’s funeral when 4 teenagers die of overdoses. That is closely followed by a failed suicide attempt and another heart attack.
Can Kate help her ex-boyfriend, Tim get to the bottom of these suspicious deaths?
A short mystery that will keep your interest. If you are a mystery fan, this one will keep you guessing right up until the very end.
Give this one a try and let me know what you think.
