Description of Troubled Waters

Billionaire Ian Shaw can have everything he wants–except a happy ending. Or at least that’s what it feels like with his fortune recently liquidated, his niece, Esme, still missing, and the woman he loves refusing to speak to him. In fact, he doubts she would date him even if they were stranded on a deserted island.

Despite her love for Ian, Sierra Rose knows he has no room in his life for her as long as the mystery of his missing niece goes unsolved. The only problem is, Sierra has solved it, but a promise to Esme to keep her whereabouts secret has made it impossible to be around Ian.

When the PEAK chopper is damaged and Sierra lacks the funds to repair it, Ian offers a fundraising junket for large donors on his yacht in the Caribbean. But the three-day excursion turns into a nightmare when a rogue wave cripples the yacht and sends the passengers overboard. Shaken up and soaked to the bone, Ian finally has a chance to test his theory when he and Sierra do indeed find themselves washed up on a strange, empty shore.

It will take guts and gumption for the PEAK team to rescue the duo. But it will take a miracle to rescue Ian and Sierra’s relationship.

My review of Troubled Waters

I love this series!

I am so glad that we finally get Ian and Sierra’s story. The little tidbits we’ve gotten in the past stories has been excruciatingly painful.

This book is full of action. I think Susan May Warren asks herself “What is the worst thing that could happen at this point?” then writes it into the story.

We get to see first hand how Ian navigates the troubles in his usual alpha fashion. We watch him push away everyone he cares for, determined to do things his way. We also see a broken Ian turn to God and give Him the wheel.

Sierra is a woman of faith, but she tries to stack the cards in her favor by trying to be everything to everybody on the PEAK team. When her beloved PEAK team is in danger of having to close their doors, Sierra comes to the rescue. She organizes a three day weekend in the Caribbean for some potential donors. The trip is disastrous and leaves Sierra, Ian and their guests fighting for their lives.

This book was fantastic, but now I can’t wait to get Jess and Pete’s story.

It was a fast read, because you can’t put the book down. (literally)

It is rainy here in south Texas. The perfect kind of weather to cuddle up with a good book.

Check out some other good books at http://www.carolynastfalk.com/2017/12/06/an-open-book-22/

Enjoy!

She is one of my favorites. Start with her Christiansen Family series, it is complete where you won’t have to wait for the next book.

I have a bunch of her stuff on my Kindle, so I’ll search out the Christiansen Family first! Thanks.
